I like the alien scooby doo theory it makes sense but there was real supernatural in scooby doo movies before the scooby supernatural crossover such as scooby doo and the witch's ghost, scooby doo and zombie island, scooby doo and the ghoul school, scooby doo and the reluctant werewolf, and the 13 ghosts of scooby doo. All those listed were before Supernatural was created in 2005. Love scooby doo though it is different to think of scooby as an alien. Sorry for the rant.

Hey Matpat! For the Ultra Shaggy part I was thinking a lot until I realized something.Shaggy and Scooby run together at the same speed. Since Scooby is a Great Dane and the maximum running speed for a Great Dane is 30 mph (48.3 kph) that means that Shaggy is the fastest person is the world beating Usain Bolt which maximum is 27.44. Maybe he is super for something

There is an episode called “Spooky Games” where Shaggy unofficially breaks the world record for running speed and gets to compete in London. My personal opinion (which has no real proof in the shows/movies but faces no logical setbacks) is that Scooby simply doesn’t run as fast as he can when fleeing a monster as to not break away and get lost from Shaggy.

How about Shaggy being an alien? Great Danes run at around 49 miles an hour, and Shaggy and Scooby are running together all the time, meaning that Shaggy can run as fast as a Great Dane, os he could beet the fastes human alive in a race. It would be impossible for a human to run 49 miles an hour, so he must be some kind of supernatural being.

There is actually an episode where Shaggy unofficially breaks some world record for running speed and competes in London. Although there is no proof of this, I imagine Scooby simply slows down to run at the same pace as Shaggy as to not break away and get lost. And if you want to find the episode I just mentioned it’s called “Spooky Games” I believe and is a solo episode made for a Laff-a-lympics DVD.

My favorite so far was Be Cool Scooby Doo. The animation is different than what you expect but they really go off the deep end with how crazy the gang is. Very funny stuff. They even explain the origin of the Scooby Snacks.

The Ghost Kid in Supernatural did not throw them into the actual TV show he simply transported himself and the boys to another reality, it's highly implied this is actually one of Chuck's alternate universes, one focused entirely on Scooby Doo. Which means that God murdered the Scooby Gang when he destroyed the Multiverse.

You know what I'm just realizing now? What happened to scrappy? If fred and Velma don't know who he is during the supernatural cross-over and in the mystery incorporated newest show fred and daphne agreed to never speak of him again that makes me think they wrote a suggestive end to his character and he will no longer show up again as a live character and his potential death was left in the air for all of us to figure out.

You had to be there at the time, but “the Archie Show” debuted in 1969 on Saturday mornings and royally sucked; a real disappointment for those who liked the comics. “Scooby Doo Where are You” followed right after and sucked even worse because it was a freakish mutant clone of the Archies complete with semi-articulate dog. Even the theme had an Archies sound sung by a Ron Dante soundalike. It’s a wonder someone didn’t come up with bubblegum records to accompany the show. Let’s not forget the ultra-crappy “Archie’s Weird Mysteries” which tried to be.....”Scooby Doo”. But wait! There’s more! The Archies studio ‘band’ recorded a song on their second album called “Feelin’ So Good” (S.C.O.O.B.Y D.O.O.). Can’t believe they’ve gotten so much mileage out of nothing all these years.

MatPat unfortunately only used the aspects of that film that supported this theory but ignored anything that contradicted it. Their friend does say he modeled the game only after mysteries the gang had told him about. In addition, it is impossible for stories like 13 Ghosts and Boo Brothers to be levels, as the same friend says he made ten levels and the gang is shown in all of them (maybe even more, which would be a funny little blooper).

While I am over half a year late, I do want to point out that in Cyberchase, it is explicitly stated that the guy making the game created the gang based on what the gang had told them about what they looked like and how they dressed, and then Velma states herself in the scene we are introduced to them that they apparently haven't been up to date about their style lately. This isn't an alternate timeline, its the same timeline. Shaggy wore a red shirt and had unfilled eyes because of a change in art direction. The appearance in Cyberchase is little more than an Easter egg that is meant to give nostalgia to some people or for just the joke of changing art direction between the old movies and Cyberchase. There are still 2 timelines, but a digital timeline is not one of them.

I wish they would stop changing how there drawn the gang looks bad in the newer series, like they did with ash in pokemon, haven't watched the new scooby shows for that reason, I might eventually watch them not sure at the moment, also I think it SUCKS too that daphne & fred aren't a couple either, even if they did kiss in the movie stage fright.
