In this video I show the unboxing of the Starlink equipment, test the satellite dish indoors and then take it outside and run some speed tests. Finally I show the steps that I took to install the Starlink dish on the roof.
Pricing: $578.94 (after tax and shipping) for the equipment and $99 per month

Purchased separately from Starlink: Volcano Roof Mount ($25.44) includes mount, lag bolts, sealant, box of cable screw clamps.

What happens, if it's raining very hard and the water is accumulating in the satellite dish? There seems to be no opening for the water to drain and if it's installed on your roof you will not be able to reach it very easily, does it have a negative impact on the reception then?

If you install that starlink antenna 📡 on the top of a car 🚘 will it work ? because it's auto adjusting it's angle to satellite 🛰 to connect to internet. Can you please test that. If that works it's awesome we can get internet even on the go

dunno how so many yt reviewers r git >100 Mbps I've run the daylights outa my DishyMcflatface for over a month here it's 60 down 10 up, long term average internet speed test systems are crazy vague, tho thinking about capabilities of gateways being a factor just today I've seen the satellite.space she l site show me perhaps connected to 5 🐔 at once. Then again, what is that site really showing? perhaps it's showing what connections are possible? That's not it, v really, so I'm waiting for the experts to chime in instead of all the 'it's pretty and better than my carpy cell still, ' better than nutn'

Tip - when lagging bolts into wood the point you stop tightening is when the screw bottoms out. In your case you have overtightened and stripped the wood holding the screw.

Many thanks for sharing! Good catch, noticing the deicing feature of your Dishy (I noticed that feature in the patent application. If you get a chance and have a watt meter, I'd be curious of the power consumption which I'm guessing in 50-80 watts based on the Ken Keiter teardown.

One of the most stressful videos I've watched in ages! Every 30 seconds I just wanted to take over for a new reason. Never seen anyone install something so frantically. It's like someone had kidnapped his family and they'd be executed if he didn't have it installed in 30 minutes or less. Anyone else surprised that he didn't fall off the ladder and/or roof at some point? Utterly insane video. Thumbs up for the entertainment! 😂
