Lex, in every way that you can objectively measure one man against another except age and height, you would be my superior. But that’s cool and in fact great because you teach me and you’re such an excellent dude and by my estimation, a powerful force for learning, peace and love. I just wish you wouldn’t use the word “like” gratuitously and that’s the last time I’ll ever comment on that.

Rogan's social critique is hopelessly superficial and fact-free. He represents the under-informed "common man," without a clue who the prime actors are in the face of massive social engineering from the creepy right wing hiding behind the democrats. He just "reacts" as if those realities ae non-existent.

1:03:43 Joe just summed up that he recognizes what his podcast has become! Although I still doubt he knows how important this podcast is, because the bottom line is he gives a largest possible platform for people who need to be heard can be heard and who might not otherwise be able to. He does this regardless of his beliefs, opinions or views... or others. I just wish he did more homework on his guests and prepared more so he asks the right questions, because as he points out we viewers/listeners do feel like we are there, so he should be asking the right questions we want answered but cannot ask. Sadly he misses opportunities to ask the right informed difficult questions.

39:29 I thought Joe would counter this argument. Yes, it’s great to have a gun, safely stored at home is a responsible thing to do. It will allow you to protect you family and friends from imminent death or extreme bodily harm. The cops don’t protect you the respond to situations, and may be responding to your death and not be saving lives. Having a gun at home allows the peace of mind knowing in hard times you family can eat because you can hunt, and not allow you to be storing items for the toughest guy on the block as pointed out by Bill Burr lol. Being Canadian I tell others you don’t know, even I don’t know the gun culture in America unless you live there. Although this guy is possibly correct about escalating situations or putting yourself in danger you might not otherwise do both good or bad, I thought Joe or someone else would point out the obvious. Without martial arts, a gun you carry can provide you with the confidence, and calm capability to deal with and handle situations that you might not have been able to do other wise... because you have the secret knowledge that it’s not him, it’s you that has the power to defuse or defeat the threat if needed. For instance, I wouldn’t think twice to talk shit to someone, start a fight, or even rob someone if I had to feed my family or was a different person here in Canada. There would never be a day in which I would go to America and talk shit, fight or steal from an American because I would expect the response of being shot or a gun pointed at my face. So the knowledge or equally the unknown knowledge of who has a gun and who does not helps most people think twice about their actions. I tell Canadian gun owners there will never be a day in which you shoot someone here and do not go to jail. I mean if you by chance have the ability to call the police, unlock your safely stored gun, ammo and put the two together with speed in a true self defence situation you are still going to jail until you are released and go through a trial. Sadly in Canada self defence is not a reason to own a gun or an assumed right. You are already starting “behind the count” because you are presumed guilty of murder and have to prove what you did was the only possible option other than your death. Not impossible as demonstrated by the white Ontario guy who shot the “native” trying to steal a truck in his driveway. Although he somehow by an incompetent miracle got off because of the jury and should not have been. Didn’t call the police first, confronted a person who was not a danger to life, and more than likely had an unsafe stored firearm. You could even argue that was an unsafe discharge of a firearm since he didn’t know what was in the background... like a neighbour coming over to see what’s happening. Logic and character gives the benefit of the doubt on the last two, but definitely not the first two which was proven in court. Sadly some situations end with no winners and all losers in the end... only lessons to be learned.

Whatching this again after the spotify complete move, having experienced the grand screwing by Spotify's lack of video watching options and in-cast ads hearing Lex extol Rogan for being "rich and famous but not being out of touch" doesn't hold entirely true. Joe seems to be blissfully unaware that many fans, myself included, got Spotify and found the video doesn't work in a car over bluetooth not does it work on any streaming device like Crapple TV and Fucksticks. It only works on phones and desktop computers AND for those who decided to pay for premium so there'd be no ads? You get multiple ads by no less than Rogan himself before and during the podcast!!! Yeah he's not out of touch AT ALL!!🧐 He doesn't address the issues and many people have complained on spotify forums, ON HIS INSTAGRAM and SPOTIFY does is tell you to put it in their idea tank which is no doubt a trash bin and their "team" will talk about it. I suggest they get to talking because many premium spotify users are looking into breach of contract and false advertising class action litigation over the ad bullshit. Basically Rogan pulled a Ninja...ninja left twitch for Microsoft and fat paycheck, microsoft failed, ninja gets paid, tries to go back to twitch and loses a giant fan base in the process. The spotify deal has ruined this podcast for me. I ONLY watch it and I watch all three hours. So the free clips on ISslows don't mean shit to me and I'm not going to pay spotify anymore to lie to me and tell me no ads for ten bucks a month. Glad we have Lex, Schaub and Theo, Tim and Whitney left...maybe Joe will wake up and realize he's actually very out of touch with his fans the butt fuckery the Spotify deal has caused many of us. Rule Britannia!!🤘

Lex, today was my first time listening to your podcast. The very first podcast that draw my attention was Cmdr David Fravor. If it wouldn't have been for that interview I may have not listened to you. It was an excellent move and you should bring more subjects that are kind of like in the dark today and need to have more attention from the public eye.

I love Joe Rogan so much. Brilliant personality. But what I love most here is the respectful way this whole episode is conducted. Lex Fridman is an amazing interviewer and listener, and so is Joe, and it’s great seeing Joe so comfortably opening himself in this way. Not even one single interruption. Amazing stuff.

Come on Joe you speak of the BLM movement as a crazy criminal cult, and the one leftist who killed a trump supporter, but fail to mention how most acts of domestic terrorism in the U.S are made by right wing white nationalist since 2018. You also make this claim that the corona virus is only twice as bad as the flu.I dont know if its because you want togo against the mold and be edgy or ,"woke",but during a time when disinformation is at an all time high you are not helping. Tell the families that lost over 300,000 people last year.

I'm almost done with any kind of Internet. I hate social media as well. Everyone addicted to it is usually vile. Facebook is pretty much the Wal-Mart of the Internet. I feel like I get on there and leave with less brain cells.
